Dear Moneylifers,

Greetings!
We Wish you a Very HAPPY NEW YEAR from the entire Moneylife Team!
A year of hectic activity has gone by but as most of you Moneylifers know, this is when we get ready for our big annual event. The response to our 8th Anniversary celebration on 13th January 2018 has been fantastic. It is a testimony to the importance of the Railway line in the lives of us Mumbaikars and the popularity of our chief guest Union Minister Piyush Goyal. The theme of our anniversary event is “How Transforming The Railways Can Boost Our Economy”. If you have not registered yet, do so now and don't miss this opportunity to interact with him at one of the rare events, which is only about us, the consumers!
Programme: Saturday, 13 January 2018 | Time: 4pm to 6pm. Venue: BSE International Convention Hall, 1st Floor, P. J. Towers, Dalal Street, Fort, Mumbai – 1. Register Free.

RTI Centre

We have a big announcement at the RTI Centre too. On Saturday, 3 March 2018, we have the inaugural RTI Lecture delivered by none other than Justice AP Shah. One of our most respected judges in India and known for his bold judgements, Justice Shah is also unusual in having devoted his post-retirement life entirely to public causes. He has been a former Chief Justice of the Madras and Delhi High Courts. He is the former Chairman of the 20th Law Commission of India.

This programme is at YASHADA Pune, so folks, especially Punekars, do block your date. If you are a lawyer, activist or law student, you don't want to miss this talk. In the coming weeks we will announce several new RTI initiatives, including a new microsite, expert advice and guidance on filing RTIs.

In fact, if you are an RTI enthusiast, or want to understand issues and learn how to file appeals you can connect with us at any time, during office hours. If you have a group of 10 persons, contact us for a special, interactive session on How to File RTI correctly, with one of many well-known RTI activists in Mumbai. Await details or write to us at [email protected] or WhatsApp on +91-7045156415 (Please give your Name, email ID & Contact number). Our team will connect with you to work out details. This can be in Marathi, Hindi, Gujarati and English. We will also have an RTI session every month at Pune, under the leadership of Vinita Deshmukh. The first of these, on using RTI for Aadhaar related issues, is planned for 10th February.
