 Wish you all a very happy, healthy and prosperous new year. As we reflect on the past year, we are happy to welcome 8000 new members to Moneylife Foundation making us a huge family of 1.59 lakh persons! Is this enough? Over a billion people are easy targets of fraud and mis-selling aimed at separating them from their money. Fraudsters work rapidly to find ingenious new ways to cheat, extort and sweet-talk people into making wrong decisions. Wouldn't you like to start the year by passing forward the knowledge, help and counselling that you may have received by encouraging your families and social groups to benefit? | A couple of happy announcements for 2024 - |
- We re-start our counselling sessions at our new office at Prabhadevi Industrial Estate opposite Siddhivinayak Temple this week. The address is: 102, Prabhadevi Industrial Estate, Veer Savarkar Marg (next to Dominos), Prabhadevi, Mumbai 400025.

 Cybercrime Counselling by ACP (retd.) Balkrishna Wagh: We have noticed that cybercrime in myriad avatars had exploded in the past few months. So we are happy to announce that we are starting 2024 with a special one-to-one counseling session with retired assistant police commissioner, Mr Balkrishna Wagh who has had a long stint of working with Mumbai's cybercrime cell. He has generously consented to devote some time to help and guide victims of fraud on possible resolution once or twice a month, depending on the response. So don't miss this opportunity.

- Many of you are eagerly awaiting the resumption of our regular counselling session. You can now book appointments to consult Mr Shirish Shanbhag, on housing society and property related matters, or Mr Abhay Datar on banking, insurance, mediclaim and consumer related matters by calling the same numbers. Counseling is strictly on an appointment basis and interested members are advised to call in advance to book their slot.

 Happily for all of us, Mr Shanbhag has fully recovered from a brief illness that hampered his usually swift response to your queries on the Legal Helpline. He's now back in action. But remember, the helpline is already a huge repository of knowledge and advice for housing society and property related issues. This means that the answers you seek may already be online as a response to similar issues - you can save a lot of time and effort by running through past queries before posting new ones. |
